Director of Engineering
The Director of Engineering will lead the Product Engineering processes and activities, managing engineering aspects related to NPI, Transfer to Production and Process validation & control,
Manage the product lifecycle from all technical aspects. Design transfer to production, solving production problems and post-launch support.
The Director of Engineering will lead the Operations, Yield Improvement and Cost Reduction efforts.
Position Responsibilities:

Managing different functions within the Engineering department: product Engineers (ME, EE, Optic, etc.), Doc control.

Member of the PDLC management - Owner of the Company PDM/PLM system

Responsible for the Design transfer of new modified product, to ensure smooth transition to production.

Managing Process validation activities within the Design transfer in accordance with Automotive regulations.
-
Responsible for project management while balancing knowhow & schedule constrains.

Responsible for Products quality improvement activities with other relevant departments (QA, Supply Chain, R&D).
-
Regulation activities support by adjusting products to comply with new regulations (TS 16494, ISO 26262, ISO 9001).

Leading cost reduction activities together with R&D and Supply Chain departments.

Components obsolescence management. Solving all potential technical issues.

3rd party Production and Commodity support (FTK, vendors).

ECO initiation and management.
Qualifications
-
B.SC. in ME/EE from a known university.
-
MBA or any other advanced degree- an advantage.

Excellent understanding and experience with multidisciplinary products. (at least 5 years)

Experience in managing engineering team.

Experience in Automotive companies- an advantage.

Familiarity with products lifecycle mechanism and processes.

Familiarity with production floors.

Experience in working with FTK and multidisciplinary vendors.

Experience with Electronic high-volume products & industry.

Quality and processes orientation.

Experience with CAD tools.
